Who is God?
The following verses show God is truth, love, the Creator, mercy, just, the Alpha and Omega, Prince of Peace and much more. When we think of God it is generally within a range of what we know and understand. I used to view Him a a great teacher and guide. But if you said God the Father I cringed. I did not have a good father growing up. I had to be reeducated. I had to see what a father should be before I could want one must less accept God in that role. Open yourself up to the truth of who God says He is in His Word and let those different facets of Him appear in your life. We are going to talk alot more about that as time goes on but the best self care thing you can ever do is take the first step to open up to all HE can offer you now.
John 4:24 - God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1 John 4:8 - He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Revelation 22:13 - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Deuteronomy 32:4 - [He is] the Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he.
1 John 4:16 - And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Colossians 1:16 - For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Exodus 3:14 - And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
