Reach out and touch somebody

There's a song from the 70s that I though about when this post formulated. It goes like this

Reach out and touch Somebody's hand

Make this world a better place If you can Reach out and touch Somebody's hand Make this world a better place If you can

Take a little time out your busy day To give encouragement To someone who's lost the way (Just try) Or would I be talking to a stone If I asked you

To share a problem that's not your own (Oh no) We can change things if we start giving Why don't you Reach out and touch

Somebody's hand Make this world a better place If you can Reach out and touch Somebody's hand Make this world a better place

If you can If you see an old friend on the street And he's down Remember his shoes could fit your feet (Just try) Try a little kindness and you'll see It's something that comes Very naturally (Oh yeah) We can change things if we start giving Why don't you (Why don't you) Reach out and touch Somebody's hand Reach out and touch (reach out) Somebody's hand Make this world a better place If you can Reach out and touch Somebody's hand (touch somebody's hand) Make this world a better place If you can (why don't you) Reach out and touch Somebody's hand (somebody's hand) Make this world a better place If you can

Of course in this pandemic we find ourselves in we should NOT REACH OUT AND LITERALLY TOUCH SOMEONE! Stay 6 feet away and wear a mask. But in times like these it is more important than ever that we reach out to others and try to make lives a little better where ever we can. People need encouragement, relief from isolation and even practical help. We may be limited in how we can do it but we can do it.

I have found simple phone calls or old fashioned snail mail are making an impact with some of our older generation and I am the worse about picking up a phone! But I am making myself do it between the covid cough and it is well worth it.

This site and blog is designed to reach out and start a network of sisters for soul support. We need to be there for one another in the good times and bad. We need to mentor the younger women and listen to the elders. We need to support women in their healing and growing. We need to help one another stand and straighten each others crowns. If you need that type of support (and you do even if you do not recognize it) then follow along with us on this journey. You can look through the site and see some of the activities planned and resources available.

When I started sharing my stories after years of hiding them away I had women come to me over and over and all I could do is ask the Lord - "What do I say to them?', well He listened. He put me in local advanced discipleship and life coach classes, online women's ministry classes, Christian and secular life coach trainings and support groups online. He connected me with a group who does an awesome Bible study and growth program for women from abusive relationships, He led me through my own healing journey and gave me lots of things to share with you. He even supplied Art Therapy coaching classes (these were the most fun!) He continues to give me words to say and paths to point you to and I cant wait to get this adventure started!

Please follow along with us and as you feel the urge jump in and touch our hearts a little!

Cause you are loved!

Margie
